Hotel Adalbert CK Reviews:

Douglas | Australia | 2010-03-17
Thank you for our pleasant stay in your pension. We really enjoyed Cesky Krumlov and it was good for us to see snow. We have just a couple of suggestions for your rooms. It is hard to read in bed at night so perhaps stronger lighting there would help. Also, we would have liked more shower gel in the bathroom. We liked the way you looked after us by carrying our bags up and down the stairs and by arranging for us to travel by car to Linz when we left. We also liked your breakfast..

Please be informed that the following our feedback for Pension Adalbert on 5-6 May. Pension is very nice, comfortable and quiet. The room is also nice and clean. The price is reasonable with breakfast. Staff are also friendly and very good English speaker. However, the key for entrance was hard to open for guests, so we asked them to open every time. And that problem is not only us but also other guests. (Other guests said they couldn't open either, local people helped to open.) I would recommend this accommodation for guests who don't have large suitcases. (No lift.) That is all our feedback.

However, Pension Adalbert in Cesky Krumlov was absolutely outstanding. There was a nice touch of informality, beautiful interior architecture and woodwork, a really spacious triple room and superb breakfasts. It was very clean and friendly and marvellously situated. The only quibble I would have is that the sheets were made of some strange material, more like mattress protectors than conventional sheets.

Thank you for helping to arrange this wonderful accommodation for us. Everything was just perfect - nice room, wonderful position, nice hosts, and good breakfasts. We could not have asked for anything better.

We have just returned from our brief visit to Cesky Krumlov and enjoyed it very much. The people at the Pension Adalbert were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gentleman there was particularly kind in helping us with my Mother and her wheelchair..

the rooms were very nice, the staff friendly and helpful, and both represented very good value for money. You also asked in your original confirmation to these bookings if I had any suggestions for improving these services. The only way the service could be improved would be if you could provide advice to customers entering Cesky Krumlov that they may enter the town (there is a notice forbidding vehicular entry, except for authorised vehicles) and a map showing where to park for Pension Adalbert. Once again, thank you for your excellent service, which added considerably to our enjoyment of your country.

The hotel Adalbert in Ceske Krumlov was a wonderful place to stay. We had a double deluxe room that was very large, with nice furnishings and its own private bathroom. The location of the hotel is on an old narrow street, it is a great place to stay.

You asked specificly for suggestions to improve your service. I can only think of one single thing. You remember that I asked about seat reservations for the train from Prague. It turned out that these reservations (and the tickets) can not be arranged for in advance. You just have to go to the ticket office at the main railway station and buy them. No problems! I have a couple of suggestions, not for you in particular but in general. First of all, Cesky Krumlov is and will be very much dependent on turism, not least from Western Europe and from USA. The young people should concentrate on learning English. Next, if your pensions advertize on internet with.

Our room in pension Adalbert was okay, but there was one thing we didn't like: During our stay there was no room-service at all (no one made the beds, tidied the bathroom, took away the used glasses). All the furniture in the room was covered with a thick layer of dust.

The main thing: we were very pleased with the room and the way it was furnished and its location. The breakfasts were traditional and excellent (especially the coffee). The people we saw were very friendly (although they didn't know any English). The comments we have to make are really quite minor, but they might help you if you want to improve the service at the hotel. We felt the lighting in the bedroom could have been a little better. If you want to read maps or guide books at night, it was quite difficult because the electric bulbs were of a low wattage. Also, we would have liked bedside lamps for reading in bed. Small point: the waste paper basket was very small and you couldn't put bottles or larger items in it. Also, if it could be explained that the parking is actually at the back of the hotel instead of in the road where the main entrance is located this might help future guests. We had to back the car up for about 100 meters to get to round to the back of the hotel for parking. In spite of these minor things we really enjoyed our time at the Adalbert and would recommend it to other people.

I had a great time staying in Pension Adalbert in Cesky Krumlov. The three person suite was very good and clean, with a living area and very modern bathroom and toilet. The breakfasts were the best you could ask for - huge portions including cooked food, yogurt, cakes, bread, jam, tea, coffee one morning and a massive plate of cold ham and cheese, cakes, rolls and bread the other morning. Parking was also very good, right outside the pension. The people were very welcoming and friendly..
