The house is of medieval origin. It has been used as a municipal malt house from 1503. The cellars and peripheral walls have been preserved from that time. The house was changed into an inhabitable house in 1645 when the use of the malt house was stopped. A complete and demanding restoration and reconstruction to a hotel was finished in June 2009.
